Fanboy and Chum Chum

Fanboy & Chum Chum is an American CGI animated television series created by Eric Robles for Nickelodeon. It is based on Fanboy, an animated short created by Robles for Nickelodeon and Frederator Studios, which was broadcast August 14, 2008 onRandom! Cartoons.

The series premiere drew 5.8 million viewers.^] The second episode was watched by 5.4 million viewers.

The theme song was written by Brad Joseph Breeck and performed by experimental punk band The Mae Shi.

No third season was announced at Nickelodeon's upfront for the 2013-2014 season.

Plot

  The series centers around Fanboy and Chum Chum, a pair of hyperactive, odd, energetic, and slow-witted best friends enthusiastically obsessed with superhero comics, particularly those featuring their favorite superhero Manarctica, who also apparently seems to double as a holiday figurehead parodying Santa Claus within the series. Many episodes are based around comical parodies of famous films or contain countless references to popular culture, chronicling Fanboy and Chum Chum's exaggerated, surreal daily experiences and misadventures relating to dilemmas in which they have entangled themselves or the surrounding characters' utter infuriation with their irritating antics.

Main characters:

Fanboy is an enthusiastic fan of comic books, fantasy, science fiction and action figures. He wears a green and purple costume with white briefs on the outside. In the pilot from Random! Cartoons, Fanboy wears a grey costume. Fanboy has an active imagination, a zeal for fun and adventure, and he enjoys spending all of his time with his best friend, Chum Chum. Fanboy's immature decisions often get him into trouble. Voiced by David Hornsby.

 Chum Chum is Fanboy's best friend and sidekick. Although he is younger than the other main characters, he is still in the same class as them. Show creator Eric Robles explained on the Nickelodeon message board that this is because Fanboy snuck him into his class and the teacher never noticed the age difference. Chum Chum is extremely energetic and high-spirited, and possesses an indomitable enthusiasm and childlike jocularity. Chum Chum has brown hair, and wears an orange and yellow uniform, also with white briefs on the outside. In the pilot from Random! Cartoons, Chum Chum wears an orange collared shirt with yellow buttons on the chest instead of his logo. Voiced by Nika Futterman. In the pilot fromRandom! Cartoons, he was voiced by Nancy Cartwright.

The Fairly OddParents

The Fairly OddParents (often abbreviated FOP) is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around Timmy Turner, a 10-year old boy who is granted two fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda. The series started out as cartoon segments that ran from September 4, 1998 to March 23, 2001 on Oh Yeah! Cartoons and was later picked up as a series. The series is produced by Frederator Studios and, as of season 6, Billionfold, Inc. For the first four seasons, it was distributed outside the United States by the Canadiancompany, Nelvana International.

The Fairly OddParents is the third-longest-running Nicktoon, behind SpongeBob SquarePants and Rugrats. Season 9 of the series began development in June 2012, and began airing on Nickelodeon on March 23, 2013.

Plot

A young boy, Timmy Turner, has two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, who grant his every wish, inadvertently causing problems that Timmy must fix. In the beginning of the series, Timmy's babysitter Vicky was the main antagonist. As the series progressed, more villains were added. For example, his teacher, Mr. Crocker, firmly believes in fairy godparents and has been searching for them a very long time, suspecting that Timmy has fairy godparents. He is dangerous to Timmy because, according to "Da Rules", a large rulebook that defines what children can and cannot wish for and how fairy godparents must behave, no one else can know about his fairy godparents, or else they will be taken away from him (although he does not remember, Cosmo and Wanda were once Crocker's fairy godparents, as the rule does not apply to people who currently have their own or once had fairy godparents). At his school, he is often bullied by Francis, a vicious boy who claims to be the toughest student in school, but reveals to Timmy that he only takes out his anger on him because of his rough home life and abusive parents, proving he is somewhere in-between as a protagonist and an antagonist. Jorgen Von Strangle, an enormous and tough fairy with an Austrian accent, often described like Arnold Schwarzenegger, personally dislikes Timmy and his fairies (although, in "Teeth for Two," he states that Cosmo and Wanda are his closest friends, claiming he punches many others).

Later in the series, Timmy wished that Cosmo and Wanda would have a baby, who they later named Poof. More recently, Timmy got a magical pet dog named Sparky. Also, for every fairy, there is also an anti-fairy. The anti-fairies are similar to the real ones, but with opposite personalities and character traits. For example, Anti-Cosmo is intelligent and speaks with a British accent, while real Cosmo is stupid and American. Similarly, Anti-Wanda is also stupid and speaks with a Southern American accent. When Poof was born, his anti-fairy was created. Anti-Poof's name is Foop (Poof spelled backwards). Foop's goal in life is to cause mayhem and destroy his arch-nemesis Poof.
